Weekend at Wombeyan caves
March 7 - March 10
Updated on 10/12/2024
Next year, for the Canberra Long weekend in March, we will explore the magical underground world of the Wombeyan Caves. You can choose to join us in a tour of some of the caves, take a bushwalk through the Victoria Arch walking track to a viewing platform overlooking a remarkable natural rock formation, and enjoy the wildlife such as magpies, lyrebirds, kangaroos and satin bowerbirds. Of course, we will still have our standard long-weekend activities of an evening BBQ, raclette, and morning Rösti.
When: Friday 7th – Monday 10th March 2025
Where: 24 Wombeyan Caves Road, Wombeyan Caves, NSW (about a 2 hour drive from Canberra, north of Goulburn)
Accommodation:
Book your own accommodation at the Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve as soon as possible to avoid missing out. They have cabins as well as campgrounds (tent, camper trailer site, caravan site).
Book here: Wombeyan Caves – National Parks NSW
Feel free to come for all or part of the long weekend and participate in as many or few of our activities – just let us know in advance that you’re coming so we can expect you and provide you with more details about the events.
