DESCRIPTION:This year’s annual bushwalk is at Molonglo Gorge. We will start in the carpark at 10am for the 6.6km return walk. Expected timeframe is approximately 2 hours. On return to the carpark there are BBQs and a picnic area for all to use. Here you can satiate your well-earned hunger exacerbated by your exertions. \nWhen: Sunday 14th September 2025. 10:00am to 2:00pm approximately\nAlternative date if cancelled due to rain: 21 September 2025 \nWhere: To get to Molonglo Gorge\, take Sutton Road off Pialligo Avenue and turn onto the dirt road signposted as Kowen Forest and Molonglo Gorge. Meet at the carpark. \nTo bring: Please bring your own food for a picnic or to BBQ and drinks. It would be nice if you could bring a plate of food to share. DESCRIPTION:Updated on 17/12/2025\nJoin us for a visit to the Wombeyan caves on the March long weekend.\n\nStarting off with complementary welcome drinks and nibbles on Friday night.\nOn Saturday there will be an optional cave tour and a group raclette dinner.\nOn Sunday we have an opportunity for another cave tour and a group BBQ.\nOn Monday we will use the leftover potatoes from Saturday and have a Rösti breakfast before making our way home.\n\nThere will also be bushwalks and Jass playing and other activities throughout the long weekend. There is plenty of wildlife\, with kangaroos and birds everywhere.\n\nThe Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve have CABINS as well as CAMPGROUNDS. Book now as there are only 5 cabins left\, a few powered sites\, but plenty of unpowered sites at the moment. Stay as long or short as you’d like.\n\nLet us know you’re coming by sending an email so we can look out for you and provide you with more details. email to: canberraswissclub@gmail.com

Until now we have met at Weston Park Peninsula\, and some members have been coming regularly since the very beginning. We would love to welcome more families with children. This year we will meet at a playground where children can be easily supervised while parents can relax and talk with other members. We will start at 9am. A short story in Swiss German (with translation for non-Swiss-German speakers) will also be organised for the children. \nOur picnics are relaxed and friendly\, with plenty of time to catch up and get to know each other.
