Until now we have met at Weston Park Peninsula\, and some members have been coming regularly since the very beginning. We would love to welcome more families with children. DESCRIPTION:Updated on 17/12/2025\nJoin us for a visit to the Wombeyan caves on the March long weekend.\n\nStarting off with complementary welcome drinks and nibbles on Friday night.\nOn Saturday there will be an optional cave tour and a group raclette dinner.\nOn Sunday we have an opportunity for another cave tour and a group BBQ.\nOn Monday we will use the leftover potatoes from Saturday and have a Rösti breakfast before making our way home.\n\nThere will also be bushwalks and Jass playing and other activities throughout the long weekend. DESCRIPTION:Updated on 10/12/2024 \nNext year\, for the Canberra Long weekend in March\, we will explore the magical underground world of the Wombeyan Caves. You can choose to join us in a tour of some of the caves\, take a bushwalk through the Victoria Arch walking track to a viewing platform overlooking a remarkable natural rock formation\, and enjoy the wildlife such as magpies\, lyrebirds\, kangaroos and satin bowerbirds. Of course\, we will still have our standard long-weekend activities of an evening BBQ\, raclette\, and morning Rösti. \nWhen: Friday 7th – Monday 10th March 2025 \nWhere: 24 Wombeyan Caves Road\, Wombeyan Caves\, NSW (about a 2 hour drive from Canberra\, north of Goulburn) \nAccommodation:\nBook your own accommodation at the Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Samuel Büttiker (drums) studied music improvisation and traditional Jazz at the the Hochschule Luzern under Norbert Pfammatter\, Dominik Burkhalter\, Gerry Hemmingway and Michael Arbenz. He is regularly touring in Europe\, Colombia\, and Australia with various bands.

DESCRIPTION:The event will take place on Saturday 7th October 12.30 to 3.30pm\nWe meet 20 minutes before departure at 12:10pm as we need to be signed in by a member of the Southern Cross Club. Don’t miss the boat! \nMeeting Place: Canberra Yacht Club\, MV Southern Cross Boat\, Mariner Place (off Alexandrina Drive)  \nThis event is for current club members only. \nCost:\n$45 for adults \n$20 for children under 12 yoa \nMaximum guests 62 \nThe event will be subsidized by the Canberra Swiss Club. The price includes the cruise itself and once on board a sit-down 2 course lunch and some drinks from the bar (the club will have a tab). This all happens as you watch the Canberra scenery go by. DESCRIPTION:Dear Jass friends\, \n\n \nThe 11th Australian Jass Tournament will be held in CANBERRA on Sunday 12th June 2022. \n\n \nThe venue: \nGungahlin Lakes Club\nCnr Gundaroo and Gungahlin Drives\nNicholls ACT\n \n\n\nRegistration was due on 1 May\, however\, due to popular demand we still accept online registration until at least 22 May. Online registration can be made through\nTHIS LINK\n\n\n \n\n\nContact us with any queries about late registration. \n \nPlay will begin after 9am until finish approx 4pm-5pm\, with dinner from about 6pm.\n \nThe cost is $40 to participate (including tea/coffee\, morning and afternoon tea\, and lunch) or\n$30 for non-players (food and drinks).\n \nWe’d love to see you all for dinner at $45 per person – everyone including friends and family are welcome.\n \nIf you’re not sure whether you want to participate\, we also have the option to register as a reserve/spare player (in order to get the numbers of 4 players per table).
